Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Supervise the daily activities of pharmaceutical laboratory analysts.
- Manage workflows, resources and staff schedules.
- Monitor performance and laboratory metrics.
- Support recruitment, training, mentoring and performance management.
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs and safety standards.
- Investigate quality issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective actions where required.
- Respond to facility audit findings.
- Support the development and implementation of SOPs and operational policies.
- Help ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical GMP laboratory.
- At least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
- Experience leading or supervising technical laboratory staff.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience training and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Technical writing experience, including SOPs and investigation documents.
- Knowledge of quality assurance metrics and laboratory processes.
Equivalent combinations of education, training and relevant experience may also be considered.
