During this period, the successful candidate will move toward greater clinical responsibility and autonomy while continuing to work with the support and supervision of experienced intensivists.
The role involves participating in the management of critically ill patients, working with multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with other medical specialties.

One of the attractive aspects of this position is the opportunity to develop skills beyond routine clinical duties.
The role includes dedicated rostered time for areas such as:
- Critical care ultrasound

- Medical administration
- Clinical education and professional development
The position provides increasing responsibility as the doctor progresses through the Transition Year, while an intensivist remains available for supervision and support.

Visa Sponsorship for International Doctors
This opportunity may be particularly interesting to doctors outside Australia because the ACT Government states that visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
However, sponsorship does not automatically mean that every international applicant will qualify for an Australian work visa.

Before applying, carefully review the employer’s requirements and determine whether your qualifications and current professional status meet the conditions for the position.
