Baker Cranes Ltd is looking for an experienced Crane Service Technician to join its team in Wiri, Auckland.
The company specialises in the design, manufacture and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment and operates a dedicated manufacturing and service facility in Auckland.
Experience in the gantry crane industry is an advantage but is not essential, and product training will be provided.

Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Install and service cranes and associated lifting equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Prepare clear and accurate service reports
- Work safely at heights
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Represent and promote the company when dealing with customers
- Work effectively as part of a team
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Good electro-mechanical understanding
- Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage daily work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
- Good physical fitness
- Ability to work safely at heights
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- NZ Electrical registration or an EWRB pathway to convert overseas qualifications
- A valid driver’s licence
Experience working with gantry cranes is beneficial but not required.
