What You Will Do
As a Database Automation Engineer, you will help maintain and improve Coolblue’s cloud platform and database infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include:
- Automating database provisioning, backups and deployment processes.
- Building Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Developing automation tools using Python.
- Supporting Oracle and Aurora databases.
- Helping development teams troubleshoot technical issues.
- Monitoring database performance and security.
- Managing database upgrades and version migrations.
- Improving SQL queries and database performance.
- Setting up database auditing and logging.
- Investigating and resolving backend system issues.
- Working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Relevant experience with cloud platforms and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
- Python development experience.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog.
- Experience with Oracle 19c and Oracle GoldenGate.
- Knowledge of query tuning and Oracle RDS architecture.
- Understanding of running Oracle databases on AWS.
- Knowledge of AWS Aurora or databases running on AWS RDS is an advantage.
- Oracle Database certification is preferred.
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
